Pervez Musharraf not to take oath as President before SC verdict
Lahore, Oct 10 : President Pervez Musharraf has said that he would not take oath for his next term as President until the Supreme Court gave its verdict on the petitions filed against the presidential election.
Musharraf said that the PPP had not voted for him in the election, despite an agreement.
He said this reflected the PPP’s negative attitude, and added that the PPP not resigning from the assemblies was a positive sign.
Musharraf denied any split in the ruling PML-Q and also denied any presidential or Prime Minister groups within the party, the Daily Times reported.
Musharraf also ruled out any possibility of handing over Dr AQ Khan to the IAEA, saying no foreign agency would ever be given direct access to Khan. (ANI)
