London, Sept 28 : The British Queen will spend seven million pound on her own private jet, which would be the first in her 50-years reign.

Currently, Queen Elizabeth shares the use of VIP flights with Government ministers and military chiefs.

The Sun reported that the Queen has asked four luxury aircraft makers to come up with plans for the seven million pound royal plane, dubbed Monarch Air, and will personally choose the winning design by Christmas. 

London  - After more than 50 years on the British throne, Queen Elizabeth II is to buy her own private jet for 7 million pounds (13 million dollars), The Sun newspaper reported Saturday.

The queen is expected around Christmas personally to choose the interior design of the jet, which will seat 13 people and be for the exclusive use of the royal family.

The newspaper reported that the queen was heard to ask where her beloved pet Corgis would sit.

The royals normally fly in aircraft with high-ranking politicians and military officials, and often they have to hire planes at the last minute at huge cost to the British taxpayer.

London  - Queen Elizabeth II and the Duke of Edinburgh will visit the states of Slovenia and Slovakia for the first time next month, Buckingham Palace announced in London Thursday.

London, Sept 1 : Queen Elizabeth might be ruling Britain, but when it comes to the Royal family, it is Prince Philip who rules the roost.

It was the Duke of Edinburgh, who decided that Princes Charles, Andrew and Edward would be educated at the Scottish public school Gordonstoun.

The 87-year-old also acted as marriage guidance counsellor to Princess Diana after her split from Charles.

Prince Philip’s frankness has long been appreciated by his grandchildren, which in turn persuaded Prince Harry to promise his grandfather that he would tame his party lifestyle.
