London, Dec 21: U. S. President-elect Barack Obama, Britain's Prince Harry, French first lady Carla Bruni have made it to a new list of `The Heroes of 2008'.

The list was compiled by the Telegraph.

Olympic golden boy Michael Phelps joined the list too.

Tina Fey, famous for her impersonation of Alaska governor Sarah Palin on `Saturday Night Live', was also included in the list.

BBC former chief political correspondent John Sergeant, and Boris Johnson, Mayor of London, also featured in the list.

The Heroes of 2008 are:

London, Dec 20 : Prince Harry will be spending a romantic beachside New Year break with lover Chelsy Davy in a 1,000 pound-a-night beach hut, it has emerged.

The royal will reportedly spend 9 days with Davy soaking up the sun at the paradise holiday island in Mauritius.

Harry, who spent last New Year Eve in Afghanistan, will head to Mauritius for an idyllic holiday with Davy, after celebrating Christmas with family.

"Harry will join the rest of the Royals at Sandringham for Christmas but head for Mauritius after that," The Sun quoted a source, as saying.

London, Dec 12 : Prince Harry will return to front line in Afghanistan to become an Army Air Corps helicopter pilot after passing the unit''s selection process.

The Royal has passed a four-week selection process and will begin his pilot training next month, following in the footsteps of the Duke of York who flew helicopters in the Royal Navy in the Falklands War.

London, Dec 11: The “best meal” Prince Harry had had during his secret 10-week deployment was a charity box containing Sainsbury's packet curry.

This revelation was made at the Woman's Own Children of Courage award ceremony, where the Prince gave young children bravery awards.

Keaton Peppiatt, 10, from Bexhill in East Sussex, who was being awarded for his donation of 400 provisions boxes to frontline troops in Afghanistan to raise morale, was among the children who spoke to the Prince.

London, December 10 : Prince Harry's girlfriend Chelsy Davy may be contemplating to settle down in her beau's native England permanently after doing two weeks work experience at a leading law firm.

The daughter of a Zimbabwean millionaire, known for her long vacations and party-lifestyle, was spotted donning a business suit at solicitors Farrer and Co. that has provided services for Harry's grandmother, the Queen herself.

The law student was said to have arrived at the legal firm to gain some first-hand knowledge to help prepare herself for her final two terms at Leeds University.

Results of Lieutenant Wales, who has been honing his flying skills under a rigorous month- long assessment to test if he has the aptitude to fly a 35 million pound Apache, are said to have caused concern amongst the Army Air Corps.

Though the third in line to the throne has won a medium grading after he took to the skies behind the controls of a Slingsby Firefly trainer plane, he is yet to master the classroom theory to earn a place on the next stage.
