London, Feb 1: Britain’s former Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher has been honoured with the 'Great Briton' title for her contribution to British politics.
Baroness Thatcher was conferred with the Morgan Stanley Great Britons Lifetime Achievement Award at the Guildhall in London.
"I am proud to have played my part in helping to transform the British economy and in restoring Great Britain's standing on the world stage,” the Telegraph quoted Thatcher, as saying.
“I am delighted to have been honoured with such a prestigious award," she added.
