Washington, Oct. 10: The presidential contest between Senators Barack Obama and John McCain is reported to be getting increasingly negative with just 25 days to go for the polls.

According to Fox News, McCain and Obama seem to concentrating more on criticizing each other''s past associations rather than on providing acceptable solutions to stop the American economy from collapsing.

Washington - Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama is buying up rare 30-minute advertising slots on network television shortly before the general election, US media reported Thursday.

The ads would run on October 29, six days before the election, at 8:30 pm (0030 GMT) on the US East coast - considered a prime-time slot - and 5:30 pm in the West.

A deal has already been done with CBS and the campaign was still working out the details with NBC and Fox, Politico. com reported.
