Johannesburg, Mar. 4 : Former Pakistan coach Geoff Lawson, who had criticized cricket teams for canceling their Pakistan tours due to security fears, now concedes "everything has changed" after the terror attack on Lankan cricketers in Lahore.

Melbourne, Feb. 12: Former Test fast bowler and Pakistan cricket team coach Geoff Lawson has warned Australia that winning the final Chappell-Hadlee clash is vital to their preparations for the tour of South Africa.

With the series currently tied at two all, Fox Sports quoted Lawson as saying: "Winning this last game is very important because you have already seen that winning the last two one-day games has changed the complexion of a lot of things."

"Australia will go to South Africa with a lot more confidence if they can win the Chappell-Hadlee trophy. But if they lose in Brisbane, there will be a lot of doom and gloom again, the world could come down on their shoulders," he added.

Lahore, Oct 28 : Sacked Pakistani cricket coach Geoff Lawson has said that if (Pakistan) captain Shoaib Malik gets some experience, he could turn out to be a good captain for his national team.

“If Malik gets some experience, he could prove to be a good captain,” the Daily Times quoted Lawson as telling reporters at the Gaddafi Stadium last evening.

Malik was appointed captain after Pakistan made a first round exit from the World Cup in the West Indies last year.

Lahore, Oct 27 : The unceremonious removal of erstwhile Pakistan cricket coach Geoff Lawson, of Australia, has drawn flak from within the country’s cricketing world, even as former cricketers have said that the decision had invited international ire towards Pakistan and that, henceforth, no foreign coach would show interest in accepting coaching assignment here.

Lahore, Oct 26 : Sacked Pakistan cricket team coach Geoff Lawson has refused to leave Pakistan until the PCB pays all his dues.

Geo News quoted sources as saying that Lawson was in contact with the Australian High Commission.

PCB Chairman Ijaz Butt said the board would review Lawson’s agreement on Monday and would pay him any remaining dues, the Daily Times reported.
