New Delhi - The Tibetan spiritual leader, the Dalai Lama, who lives in exile in India, has recovered from a bout of ill health and has resumed his preaching sessions, an aide said Friday.
The Dalai Lama, 73, made his first public appearance after a month at a teaching ceremony on Thursday at McLeodganj near Dharamsala, the northern Indian hill town where he is based along with the Tibetan government-in-exile, his secretary Tenzin Takhla said.
The Tibetan leader had complained of fatigue and had been advised rest by his doctors after a series of medical tests in August. He has stayed confined to his residence since August 28 and scheduled trips to Europe, Mexico and the Dominican Republic were cancelled.
