Leander Paes won the doubles championship of US Open. It is the eighth Grand Slam title in his entire career. Paes with his Zimbabwean partner Carla Black gave stiff competition to the opposition team to earn the mixed title of grand slam.

Both Leander Paes and Carla Black defeated Liezel Huber of the US and Jamie Murray of Great Britain in an interesting competition. They won the match with 7-6 (8-6), 6-4 at the Arthur Ashe Stadium. Leander Paes is also battling to win the men's doubles final with Czech partner Lukas Dlouhy.
