London, Jan 16 : Late musician John Lennon's sister Julia Baird has hit out at the peace duo Bono and Bob Geldof for not promoting world peace adequately.

Julia has gone to the length of saying that her brother would have done much more for world peace, if he were alive.

She insists that the two musicians have only been able to hog the limelight as global campaigners due to Lennon's absence.

"People like Bono and Geldof have only been able to take centre stage as they have because John's not here," the Daily Express quoted Julia, as saying.

"John's hero was Gandhi, which not a lot of people know and he would have been heading in that direction," Julia added.
