 Al-Qaeda planning to attack US using Pak soil: ObamaLondon, Apr.1 :  A day after the Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) chief Baitullah Mehsud threatened to carry out a spectacular strike on Washington, US President Barack Obama has expressed fears that Al-Qaeda was planning to attack the United States from Pakistani soil.

Addressing a joint press conference with British Prime Minister Gordon Brown here, Obama vowed to defeat and dismantle the terror network across the world.

He said Washington would not allow Pakistan and Afghanistan to become a safe haven of Al-Qaeda.

US President Obama makes world stage debut at G20 London  - US President Barack Obama arrived in London Tuesday for the Group of 20 (G20) summit of the world's big economic powers at the start of his first major foray onto the global stage.

After he and his wife, Michelle, touched down at London's Stansted Airport they travelled by helicopter to the US ambassador's elegant residence in Regent's Park in central London.
