Lahore, Dec 1: President Asif Ali Zardari has said that New Delhi and Islamabad face threats from the same forces, and Pakistan is ready to co-operate with India on the investigation into the Mumbai terror attacks.
“If any evidence points to any individual or group in my part of Pakistan, I shall take the strictest of action in the light of the evidence and in front of the world,” he said.
Islamabad, Nov 30 : Pakistan President Asif Ali Zardari has reportedly denied any Pakistani role in the Mumbai terror strikes, and pledged “action” against any group found to be involved.
He also advised New Delhi not to ‘over-react’ over the blasts, in blaming the attacks on Islamabad.
Peshawar, Nov 27: The Pakistan unit of the Taliban, the Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) is planning to target Pakistan President Asif Ali Zardari and his allies for their ‘pro-American’ stance, said a regional commander of the terror outfit.
Hakeemullah Mehsud, deputy of TTP leader Baitullah Mehsud, accused the ANP (Awami National Party), PPP (Pakistan Peoples’ Party) and MQM (Muttahida Qaumi Movement) of “working to break up Pakistan in collaboration with the US”, reported the Daily Times.
