New Delhi, April 6 : Activist-turned-politician Arvind Kejriwal Saturday ended his 15-day-long fast with a spirited attack on the Sheila Dikshit-led Delhi government for its "inability" to provide power and water - which he identified as key issues for the forthcoming polls.
Breaking the fast in protest against the allegedly inflated power bills, amid loud cheers from his supporters, Kejriwal said that the Dikshit government has no right to rule after it could not make water and electricity available for people.
New Delhi, April 6 : As he ended his fortnight-long fast Saturday, Arvind Kejriwal has garnered the support of thousands of people from outlying working-class areas of the capital who see him as their saviour for raising the issue of "inflated" power and water bills. But many feel it is part of a calculated political plan with an eye on the Delhi elections later this year.
On his part, though, Kejriwal claimed the fast was for the nation and not for power. "Had I been power-hungry, I would not have sat on fast," he said while addressing his supporters prior to breaking his fast.

Kejriwal also said that days of Congress government in Delhi led by Sheila Dikshit are numbered.
New Delhi, April 5 : Activist-turned-politician Arvind Kejriwal, who is on a hunger strike against "inflated" electricity and water bills in Delhi, Friday announced that he will break his fast Saturday 5 p. m., after 14 days of surviving only on water.
"Tomorrow is April 6 and it is a very auspicious day as Mahatma Gandhiji broke the salt law in 1930 after the Dandi March to launch the civil disobedience movement. I will break my fast at 5 p. m. tomorrow (Saturday)," Kejriwal said.
The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader is on a hunger strike since March 23 against the allegedly inflated water and power bills.
New Delhi, March 29 : Art of Living founder Sri Sri Ravi Shankar Friday urged activist Arvind Kejriwal to end his six-day old hunger strike here against alleged inflated power and water bills.
"Reforms are a long political journey, and at this stage his health is of paramount importance," Ravi Shankar said in a statement.
Kejriwal, who heads the Aam Aadmi Party, started his fast in a slum area in Sundar Nagri over the weekend, asking people not to pay power and water bills.(IANS)
New Delhi, March 23 : Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Arvind Kejriwal Saturday began an indefinite hunger strike against increased power and water bills in the national capital.
Kejriwal began his fast in the morning at a house near the sub-divisional magistrate's office in Sunder Nagri area in east Delhi. According to the AAP leader, the house owner had to borrow money to pay his water and electric bills.
"The time has come to motivate people against illegal rise in taxes by the Delhi government," Kejriwal had said Friday.

Lucknow, Mar 7 : The Allahabad High Court on Thursday dismissed a petition by a local activist seeking a probe into allegations of irregular land dealings against Robert Vadra levelled by Aam Aadmi Party leader Arvind Kejriwal.
Nutan Thakur had filed her petition onOctober 9, 2012, and on Thursday, it was dismissed by the court''s Lucknow bench, consisting of Justices Uma Nath Singh and Virendra Kumar Dixit.
Thakur’s petition was submitted by her lawyer Ashok Pandey.
The court said that it was matter that had to be dealt by the Prime Minister''s Office.

17th Wharton India Economic Forum 2013 to be held on March 23.
