Here’s some relief for controversial Aussie cricketer Andrew Symonds. A hotel manager has backed the all-rounder denial that he motivated a physical dispute while drinking on Sunday night.
Commenting over Symmo involvement in this case, manager of the Normanby Hotel, Mark Lassman said, “This is one situation that neither got out of hand, nor was Andrew's or the hotel's fault. Andrew did nothing wrong and it's disappointing it's been reported in an ambiguous manner."
Melbourne, Nov. 25 : Some officials of Cricket Australia and Australian rugby league and cricket players believe that beleaguered cricket star Andrew Symonds is too loud and arrogant, and therefore, prefer to keep their distance from him.
According to The Courier Mail, it happened to Symonds at Brisbane’s Normanby Hotel on Sunday when several Kangaroo players decided Symonds was an incident waiting to happen and moved on to other company.

The investigation report is expected to come by Wednesday, and might jeopardize Symonds’ chances of paying in Brisbane Test beginning Friday.
CA chief executive James Sutherland said the investigation would not be rushed or compromised.

In a statement issued late today, Symonds said a member of the public had "acted unreasonably towards him" as he was drinking at Red Hill''s Normandy Hotel.
Cricket Australia is believed to be investigating the incident.
Symonds was reportedly drinking with Australian rugby league team members at the time, about 12 hours after the Australian cricket team sealed a victory over New Zealand in the first Test at the Gabba.
