Paul Pindar to step down from Capita

Paul Pindar to step down from CapitaPaul Pindar is planning to step down from the post of chief executive of outsourcing giant, Capita after working for 26 years in the company.

Pindar will be succeeded by the current deputy chief executive and deputy operations Chief Andy Parker starting from 1 March 2014. Pindar has been in the senior position for 14 years and now leaving to set up a portfolio of private equity opportunities. Capita’s revenues have risen ten times under his leadership.

Pindar was originally working as chartered accountant before he joined the private equity firm 3i, moving to Capita after advising on the £330,000 management buy-out. He has also worked as non-executive director of retailer Debenhams from 2006 to 2010. Parker will step down from the operations part of his role at the start of next year “to ensure a seamless transition” and will be replaced by Dawn Marriott-Sims, currently executive director of Capita’s workplace services division.

Capita has been able to keep its operations clean as oppose to rivals G4S and Serco, who were accused of fraud relating to government-awarded prisoner-monitoring contracts.
