Parents of a 3-month-old North Carolina child find bullet in his crib
It has been reported that the parents of a 3-month-old North Carolina child say they woke to find a hole in the ceiling of their apartment bedroom and a bullet in the baby's crib.
WSOC-TV, Charlotte, has reported that after Benjamin Broffman took his 4:30 a. m. feeding Saturday, mother Bridget took him to bed with her and husband instead of putting him back in his crib. Upon waking a few hours later, Bridget Broffman noticed something out of place on the ceiling.
She said, "I thought it was a giant moth or something like that."
WSOC further said that after finding a hole in the ceiling, Broffman woke her husband who discovered a bullet in the baby's crib inches from where the baby would have been sleeping.
Bridget Broffman said, "I thank God that it didn't go through him."
WSOC also reported that she called police, who said the bullet apparently had been fired into the air and came down through the roof and into the baby's crib. Police said they don't know where it came from.
Broffman said, "There was a party outside last night, so it could have come from there." (With Inputs from Agencies)
