Oracle launched Access Management Suite and a server on Wednesday. It is one of its kinds in industry, which will provide next generation access management. It will help to reduce security threats in IT environment. The major components of the Oracle Access Management Suite are Oracle Entitlements Server, Oracle Adaptive Access Manager, Oracle Access Manager and Oracle Identity Federation.

Access Management Suite contains a number of software. These are collected from acquisitions of Oblix, Bharosa and BEA. The suit provides various facilities to such as authentication and authorization technologies, strong authentication, fraud protection and cross enterprise federation and SSO. (Compare identity management platforms). Authorizations technologies will be used to support Web application single sign-on (SSO). The company also launched the new Oracle Entitlements Server. It is a fine-grained authorization solution and a key component of the access system. Oracle is only vendor in the world to provide such service in the entire world.

It has released the Entitlements Server for policy interoperability which supports Extensible Access Control Markup Language (XACML). The company has done integration and certification around the products to ensure the integrated work.  

The Entitlements Server, Access Manager and Identity Federation are supported by fire wall while Adaptive Access Manager works as proxy server for security of web infrastructure.
