Washington, Nov 7: Talk show queen Oprah Winfrey has lend protection to mourning Jennifer Hudson by hiding the actress out at her luxury Chicago, Illinois apartment, according to reports.

The Oscar winner’s mother and brother were found shot dead on at their Chicago residence while seven-year-old nephew, who went missing was found shot dead in the rear seat of a SUV.

“Jennifer has been staying at Oprah's East Lake Shore Drive condo. There''s plenty of privacy and security there," Contactmusic quoted a source, as telling America's Star magazine.

Hudson has held herself responsible for the tragic murders of her family members, by letting them live in the danger-ridden neighbourhood.

Family friend, Sharita Dickey, said: "Jennifer grew up on Chicago''s South Side, and knew all about the violence. She was able to get out, and wanted to take her mama with her, but Darnell said no." (ANI)
