As per the provisional data provided, the FII have been net buyers during October 12 and have invested close to Rs 455 crore during the day. The DIIs were the net sellers and gave away close to Rs 454 crore in the cash market.

In the Index Futures, the FII turned out to net sellers and sold close to Rs 350 crore. In the stock futures also they turned out to be net sellers as well and sold stocks worth Rs. 896 crore. For the Index Options, they were the net buyers and invested close to Rs. 715 crore.

For the October till now, FII were net sellers in F&O and out flowed close to Rs 600 crore. They have also been net sellers for the Stock Future and took out Rs897 crore. If the, whole October series is considered then they sold Rs
6,736 crore.

As for the major trading, one must consider Zee Entertainment where many fresh shorts were seen. The stock went down by 4 per cent during the trade, its open interest (OI) was up by 73 per cent and the delivery stood at 37 lakh shares versus 12.4 lakh.
