NSID aims to enable people to comprehend their pets’ thoughts
Scandinavian designers NSID have launched an Indiegogo campaign to raise funds for creating the world's first device to translate animal thoughts into human language.
The Indiegogo campaign is aiming to gather $10,000 to bring "No More Woof" headsets to the market. As per NSID's claims, the so-called No More Woof headset would translate animals' thoughts into human language, allowing pet owners to understand what their pets want.
When strapped to a pet's head, the Raspberry Pi-powered device will detect, analyze and decipher the pet's brainwaves into comprehensive thoughts.
The product website says, "By pre-ordering your own set of No More Woof you are not only buying the first edition of a cool product, you are also supporting further research to finally break the language barrier between animals and humans."
If you support the project with $65, you will get one sensor-equipped No More Woof headset that will allow you to detect and comprehend 2-3 thought patterns, viz. tiredness, hunger and curiosity, of your pet. For $300, you will receive a two-sensor version of the device that can be calibrated to function better with various dog breeds to read more than four thought patterns.
The campaign has already earned more than $2,000, with 57 days left to go.
