Nokia working on PureView 808 technology for Windows Phone

Nokia_808_PureviewNokia is working on its impressive PureView 808 technology, which is touted as the most sophisticated camera phone technology in the world, for its integration in the Windows Phone operating system.

The Nokia 808 PureView was revealed with with Carl Zeiss optics and a 41-megapixel sensor, attracting a lot of attention at the consumer electronics world. However, the technology was developed for the Symbian Belle operating system, which has now been scrapped by the company. The company plans to offer the impressive technology in the devices running on the Windows Phone operating system.

Jo Harlow, Executive Vice President of Nokia Smart Devices indicated that that technology would be available for an entirely new audience. It is expected that the technology will be rolled out to US customers in models under the company's Lumia series.

The new technology might be nitrated through the upcoming update to Windows Phone that is code named, Apollo. The company did not hint at a time frame for the roll out of the technology but indicated that it will be released soon for the customers.
