Nokia starts delivering its N97 smartphone to the worldwide markets
The largest manufacturer of mobile handsets in world, Nokia has announced that it has started the delivering its most advanced top-of-the-range smartphone model N97 to the worldwide markets. Nokia has declared that N97 will hit markets in more than 75 countries this month.
According to Nokia, the N97 smartphone will be available for £499 in the United Kingdom, from 19 June. The N97 will be exclusively available from Vodafone for £40 per month on an 18-month contract.
Nokia N97 smartphone boasts of its 3.5-inch touchscreen, a sliding QWERTY keyboard, and a 5-megapixel camera equipped with Carl Zeiss optics. The phone runs the Symbian S60 5th generation operating system. It comes with 32GB storage capacity, which can be expanded up to 48GB using a microSD card. The phone will allow its users to browse through Ovi services. The users will be able to access a multitude of music, maps, games, media and applications through Ovi.
Nokia has declared that the N97 will be upgraded with new features and functions in the coming months. Nokia N97 has been available for preorder at Play.com, since it was announced in January 2009.
