Nokia launches its new E-series smartphone, Nokia E75 in India
The largest manufacturer of mobile telephones in the world – Nokia on Wednesday uncovered its new smartphone, Nokia E75, from its E-series. Nokia E75 is sleek, stylish phone, prominently known for its email and messaging service.
Nokia E75 supports Nokia Messaging Service that offers e-mail solutions, on Nokia mobile phones. The phone offers excellent e-mail experience through pre-installed Nokia messaging push e-mail service. The device allows users to send emails while on the move.
Speaking at the launch of Nokia E75 smartphone, Nokia India Marketing Director Vineet Taneja said, “The power-packed E75 with Nokia messaging service is an efficiency tool that offers the complete mobile e-mail functionality, giving edge to executives and business users.”
According to Nokia, Nokia E75, featuring both standard keypad and QWERTY keypad (designed specifically for mobile desktops), offers full desktop email functionality. Nokia E75 supports all messaging service features in all third party e-mail solutions, such as Gmail, Yahoo, Rediffmail, Sify, etc.
Nokia E75 is mainly a business handset featuring 320x240 resolution display. The phone also features high standard multimedia capabilities including 3.2 megapixel camera with autofocus and flash, a music player, media player, FM and internet radio. The 8 GM smartphone supports MP3, AAC, Nokia podcast and Windows Media Player. The player is also compatible with polyphonic, MP3, video and talking ringtones.
Nokia E75 offers support for 3.6Mbit HSDPA, WiFi 802.11b/g, and Bluetooth 2.0. It offers quad band GSM and dual band WCDMA (900/2100MHz). The other features of the phone include a 3.5mm headphone jack, a microUSB connector, a microSDHC card slot and a forward facing camera for video calls, and 1,000mAh battery.
Mr. Taneja said, "Business mobility is now a necessity. We plan to partner with telecom operators to provide this phone to the end consumers.”
Nokia E75 includes an intelligent input feature with auto-completion and correction. Nokia E75 has A-GPS and preloaded maps on the memory card. The phone has a built-in mobile VPN for intranet access. The phone comes with Ovi services, Nokia Maps and Nokia's games service N-Gage. Priced at Rs. 26,299, Nokia E75 will be available in silver black and red colors.
