Cameron calls for India-Pakistan talks

David-CameronLondon, Aug 8 : British Prime Minister David Cameron has called for India-Pakistan talks to resolve their bilateral issues, including the killing of five Indian soldiers in Jammu and Kashmir, a British daily said Thursday.

"Talks can resolve any issues in a democratic system," Cameron was quoted as saying by Manchester's Asian Lite newspaper.

Toyota recalls 342,000 trucks

Toyota said screws that attach the seat belt pre-tensioner to the retractor within the assembly can become loose due to repeated and forceful closing of the access door, which may lead to detachment of the pre-tensioner and the retractor spring cover from the seat belt retractor, thus affecting seat belt performance, reported Xinhua.

Tourism only viable business in Kerala: NRI honcho

"In Kerala the cost of land and salaries is very high besides there are political issues also. Today tourism is the only viable business proposition in Kerala. Another one is the titanium industry, but that is not allowed in the private sector and it should be opened up," Pillai told reporters here.

"Not in a position today to say anything because this is not the time or appropriate atmosphere in which we should be discussing talks. There will be lot of work necessary if we are to talk... but will it be conducive, we need to look at it," Khurshid said.
