Kolkata, Sep 12 : Epilepsy patients in eastern India can now breathe a sigh of relief. A diagnostic procedure that enables detailed monitoring of brain activity has been launched here for patients who fail to respond to drugs.

The Institute of Neurosciences Kolkata has stepped up to achieve global standards in health care by introducing video telemetry (automatic transmission and recording) services capable of long-term monitoring of epileptic patients.

Chennai, Sep 12 : Malaysian budget airlines AirAsia Thursday warned the public against responding to false recruitment offers for its Indian operations, and said it will not be responsible for the acts of unauthorised recruitment agencies.

In a statement issued here, AirAsia said it has lodged a police complaint against an unaffiliated agency for running a job scam.

"I am a fan of everyone who keeps himself or herself fit. So I am a fan of everyone who believes in healthy lifestyle and has a good body to flaunt," the 28-year-old said here Wednesday during a video conference at Reliance digital store here.

The 28-year-old also stated that the trend of "fit body" started by actors like Salman Khan and Sanjay Dutt and has now passed on to the younger actors, which is a good thing.

Sydney, Sep 12 - Australia's unemployment rate increased 0.1 percentage points to 5.8 percent in August, the Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS) reported Thursday.

The number of people employed fell by 10,800 to 11.64 million in August, Xinhua reported citing an ABS report.

Full-time employment fell 2,600 to 8.13 million in August while part-time employment was down 8,200 to 3.51 million.

The number of unemployed people rose by 9,400 to 714,100 in August.

The August participation rate was 65.0 percent, down from 65.1 percent in July.
