University of California researchers identified the genes responsible for the intense bitter taste of wild cucumbers. That bitter flavor in wild cucurbits-the family that includes cucumber, pumpkin, melon, watermelon and squash-is due to compounds called cucurbitacins.

The English television presenter, who is wed to England and Manchester United ace Wayne Rooney , sported the glam look with heavy eye-shadow and pink lipstick, which she teamed up with the luxurious furry jacket, a plaid shirt, skinny jeans and ankle boots, as she strolled through Alderley Edge, Cheshire, the Daily Star reported.

However, spokeswoman for the 28-year-old said that she doesn't wear "real fur."

Oil prices plunge post Opec meeting

Oil pricesLondon, Nov 28 : Oil prices have plummeted after the Opec oil producers' cartel decided not to reduce output at its meeting in Vienna.

Opec's secretary general Abdallah Salem el-Badri said that the cartel would not try to shore up prices by decreasing production, reported the BBC.

The Opec members decided to maintain the oil production at 30 million barrels per day as agreed upon in December 2011.

Following the announcement, Bent crude hit its lowest since August 2010 and dipped below 72 dollars per barrel before settling at 72.82 dollars.
