Afridi among 8 partying Pak players fined for violating team's WC curfew

Karachi, Feb 13 - Pakistan flamboyant all-rounder Shahid Afridi, along with seven other teammates have been fined for violating a team curfew ahead of their much-anticipated World Cup opener against arch-rivals India on Sunday.

According to the Dawn, eight of the Pakistan players, which also included former captain Shahid Afridi and opener Ahmed Shehzad, were fined 300 Australian dollars after they came late to their Sydney hotel.

Headed by former military officer Naveed Cheema, Pakistan team management claimed that players went with their friends for dinner but came back late.

Moreover, a warning has also been issued for players as a repeat offense would pave their way for an early exit from the sport's pinnacle tournament.

New Delhi, Feb 12 : The world's biggest and most revolutionary solar telescope is being built with the help of researchers from the University of Sheffield.

Led by Queens University Belfast, the Sheffield team is building cameras for the 344 million super telescope which will be situated in Hawaii.

The Daniel K Inouye Solar Telescope (DKIST), which will be launched in 2019, is being constructed by the US National Solar Observatory on Haleakala mountain in Maui, Hawaii.

With a four-metre diameter primary mirror, the telescope will be able to pick up unprecedented detail on the surface of the Sun - the equivalent of being able to examine a 1 coin from 100kms away.
