Johannesburg - After their historic 1-0 victory over Italy, Egypt's players and staff basked in the light of the world's media as their supporters at the other end of the continent celebrated long into the night.

Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak called the team to congratulate them on the first win by an African team over the four-time World Cup winners.

And though the Pharaohs still sit third in the group, behind Italy on goal difference, the team was naturally proud with the performance and the result.

Washington, June 19 : Duke University bioengineers have come up with a robot capable of locating tiny pieces of metal within flesh, and guiding a needle to its exact location, without having to depend upon human assistance.

The researchers believe that, in future, similar robots may not only help treat shrapnel injuries on the battlefield, but also be used for medical procedures like placing and removing radioactive "seeds" used in the treatment of prostate and other cancers.

London, June 19 : Two days before stepping down as British Prime Minister, Tony Blair submitted a whopping 6,990 pounds expense claim for roof repairs on his designated second home, it has emerged.

Blair submitted an invoice on June 25 for "roof repairs," and left Downing Street on June 27.

The bill, dated June 8, suggests that Blair arranged for the work to be done after he had announced the date when he would be leaving parliament, The Telegraph reports.

London, Jun 19 : Busking duo Si and Tyber Cranstoun have revealed that they are in no way giving up their booked IndigO2 date to accommodate Michael Jackson's tour.

Sophie Frost, 14, received just minor burns and singed hair as the bolt zipped through the headphone wire hanging from her school uniform, scorching her clothes but missing all her vital organs.

She was rushed to a specialist burns unit, where doctors said that they were confident she would make a full recovery, and that too without even a scar.
