Infosys to remain bullish on Europe- Says K Gopalakrishnan

InfosysBangalore's Infosys, which is India's second largest software exporter, has reported a 2.42 per cent decrease in its profits recently. However, despite its profits falling from last year's 24.7 percent to 20.3 percent this year, Infosys has decided to continue to invest in Europe.

The reason given by Infosys is that though the profit has fallen, the decline is much less in Europe than anywhere else.

Tiruvallur district will be decked with one more brand new medical college

Medical-Council-IndiaA brand new medical college in Kunnavalam village in Tiruvallur district will be inaugurated on July 12. The college is formed by newly appointed Board of Governors of the Medical Council of India, who will grant approval to the DD Medical and Educational Trust to start a medical college.

At present, State comprises of 16 government medical colleges and 10 private medical colleges.

The new medical college, DD Medical College and Hospital would be 11th in the list of private medical college.

Swine flu reaches Rajkot

swine-fluA case of swine flu was reported on Tuesday in Jamnagar city of Rajkot, where a 45 yr old man was tested H1N1 positive.

The man is admitted to a private hospital in Rajkot.

The sources revealed that man was confirmed with swine flu on Monday after he showed symptoms of the disease; he is a resident of Gokulnagar area of Jamangar.  

His throat swab and blood test confirmed that he is infected with H1N1 virus and soon thereafter he is admitted to an isolated ward of a private hospital.

Neonatal baby become the youngest donor

Organ-DonateIn Hyderabad, a 4 day old female baby has donated her two organs and become the youngest donor.

The parents of the baby, mother Hymavathi, a school teacher and father Kishore Kumar, a revenue inspector has decided to donate two organs of the baby after her sudden death.

The baby was born on July 8 and two days later she developed certain complications and was put on the ventilator where she expired on July12.

Mohan foundation was contacted by the baby's family to proceed with the donation process. Mohan Foundation has shifted the baby to Innova Hospital in Secunderabad.

An Eight month pregnant woman delivers a baby on footpath in Mumbai

BabyAn incident occurred outside the premises of municipal maternity home at Mahim, where Rekha 27 yrs old, an eight month pregnant woman has delivered a baby on footpath. She had come to the hospital with her husband for the checkup but hospital authorities turn her away.

The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation has mentioned that they will look into the matter and will set up an internal inquiry against maternity home.

Additional Municipal Commissioner Manish Mhasikar said that by tomorrow preliminary report would be submitted in this matter.
