London  - British police arrested five members of a 40-strong crowd of protestors demonstrating outside the Greek embassy in London in the aftermath of the shooting of a teenager in Athens.

A police spokesman said Monday that the men were being held in custody for a variety of public order offences. The protest had ended after five hours.

He could not confirm the nationality of those arrested but added that nobody was thought to have been injured in the protest. (dpa)
