Patna, Dec 14: Seven members of the Sattan Chaudhary gang, including its leader, have been killed in an encounter with police in Bihar’s Khagaria District.

Seven gangsters, including its leader Sattan Chaudhary, were killed in an encounter which took place near Dhamara close to the border with Saharsa district, Superintendent of Police Vineet Vinayak said.

The encounter lasted for about nine hours where hundreds of rounds of firing took place between police and gangsters.

The encounter started on Thursday midnight.

Four regular rifles of. 315 bore, two country-made pistols, two rifles looted from police and several rounds of ammunition were recovered from them.

The dreaded gang was involved in several cases of murder, attack on police, dacoities and extortion. (ANI)
