Ashley Dupré of the Eliot Spitzer scandal to break silence on ‘20/20’

New York, Nov 15 : Ashley Dupré a. k. a. Kristen, who was the call girl involved in the Eliot Spitzer scandal, would be appearing for her first television interview on ‘20/20’ with ABC''s Diane Sawyer.

In the interview, scheduled for broadcast on November 21, the New Jersey runaway, who became a high-priced hooker, will most probably not be talking about Spitzer.

“People who think this is all about Eliot Spitzer are going to be disappointed,” the New York Daily News quoted an insider as saying.

“Diane has done extensive reporting on prostitution. This is another chapter in that reporting,” the insider said.

Sawyer had spent two years on a prostitution piece for “Primetime”, which did not air until after Spitzer resigned, when it was revealed he''d spent time with Dupré.

For Dupré, the scandal that ensued from her meeting with Spitzer put her in the limelight, and helped her gain fame.

However, her relationship with the former governor will not be the main focus in the interview.

According to sources, Sawyer only talked to Dupré about how a young woman from Wall Township, N. J., runs away from home, changes her name, and becomes a big-time New York call girl.

The interview, first noted at gawker. com, is expected to take up two parts of the hour-long "20/20" next Friday.

Calls and e-mails to Dupré went unanswered, and her attorney Don Buchwald revealed he had no comments to make. (ANI)
