Jennifer Hudson’s missing nephew found shot dead in SUV
Washington, October 28 : Jennifer Hudson’s seven-year-old nephew, who went missing from the singer’s residence after her mother and brother were found murdered, was found shot dead in the rear seat of a SUV.
The Oscar-winning actress, along with her family and friends, identified the body of Julian King who had reportedly suffered multiple gunshot wounds.
The police had issued an Amber Alert for Julian, who was believed to have been abducted, after an unidentified assailant fatally shot Hudson''s mother Darnell and brother Jason.
His body was found in the back seat of a SUV, parked across the street on Chicago''s West Side on October 27.
Though the motive behind the slayings remained unclear, yet the officials revealed they believed them to be ‘domestic related’.
“It wasn''t a case of a stranger-type homicide,” Fox News quoted Chicago Police Superintendent Jody Weis as saying.
The police had taken Julian’s stepfather William Balfour as a prime suspect into custody, though none has been charged for the killings.
On being asked how could investigators miss out spotting the SUV during their detailed search, Weis said that it was difficult to trace the huge city of Chicago, further adding that the vehicle had been parked ‘several miles away from the first crime scene.’
The 27-year-old singer, who bagged the runner-up title on ‘American Idol’, had announced 100,000 dollars for information regarding her nephew’s safe return, and had requested privacy after the tragic event. (ANI)
