McCain ''invented BlackBerry'', says his key adviser
London, Sept. 17 : A senior policy adviser to Republican presidential nominee and Senator John McCain has claimed that he helped create the modern-day "miracle" known as the BlackBerry.
The Telegraph quoted Douglas Holtz-Eakin, the Republican presidential candidate’s economics guru, as saying that McCain had the required experience and leadership to discuss and resolve economic issues, including issues related to telecommunications industry.
When pressed on McCain''s achievements on the Senate Commerce Committee, Holtz-Eakin pulled out his BlackBerry personal digital assistant and declared: "You''re looking at the miracle that John McCain helped create."
It is another matter that the 72-year-old McCain does not know how to use a computer and cannot send emails, one of the BlackBerry''s prime functions.
Holtz-Eakin said McCain''s handling of regulation and deregulation of the telecommunications industry in particular equipped him to revive the economy amid a mortgage crisis, energy crisis and Wall Street meltdown. (ANI)
