Car bomb kills Druze sheikh in southeast Beirut Baysour, Lebanon  - A Druze sheikh was killed late Wednesday when a bomb placed under his car exploded at his hometown Baysour, southeast of Beirut.

According to witnesses at the site, four other people were wounded.

The dead sheikh was identified by police as Saleh Al Aridi, a follower of pro-Syrian Druze leader Talal Arslan, who is a political rival of anti-Syrian Druze leader Walid Jumblatt.

Police at the scene of the explosion said the bomb was placed under Aridi's car. (dpa)
