Couple tied knot just months before Groom succumbed to Cancer
Solomon Chau and Jennifer Carter married four months before Chau lost his life due to terminal cancer. The couple was aware of Chau’s condition and what would happen next. Chau was buried on the date when the pair originally had to tie the knot.
Both were in relationship for eight years. In December 2014, Chau was diagnosed with liver cancer and underwent surgery to remove tumor. Initially, it was thought that the treatment has turned out to be successful.
But it did not happen so, as Chau was rushed back to hospital this March with stomach pain and it was found that cancer has spread in his body and doctors could not do anything. Love was strong and the pair was determined to have their dream wedding.
They set up a Go Fund Me page to raise funds, so they can change their wedding date, which was originally scheduled to take place on this August 22. After going through their story, there was more than £31,000 in donations.
On April 11, both tied the knot at Casa Loma, a museum in Ontario and after that they raised a dog together. Their most special day has been recorded by Boundless Weddings.
The video shows their morning preparations of getting ready, taking vows and their first dance together. On August 17, Chau died and was buried on the couple's original wedding date, August 22.
Jenn, from Toronto in Canada, announced the sad news on her Facebook page. She even thanked Chau for being in her life. She expressed her feelings about him in the post.
