Vietnamese PM arrives in Delhi
New Delhi, Oct 27 : Vietnamese Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung arrived in the national capital on Monday as part of his two-day state visit.
Prime Minister Dung is scheduled to have an interactive session with Indian industry honchos on Monday evening. Representatives of the Confederation of Indian Industry, the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry and the Associated Chambers of Commerce and Industry of India will be present at the event.
As part of his visit, Prime Minister Dung will also hold delegation level talks with Prime Minister Narendra Modi in a banquet hosted by the latter on Tuesday evening. The visiting dignitary is also scheduled to meet President Pranab Mukherjee, Vice President Hamid Ansari and External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj.
Earlier in the day, Prime Minister Dung began his trip by touching down in Bodh Gaya, where he visited the Bodhgaya temple and the Vietnam Buddhism Pagoda. The visiting dignitary also met Bihar Chief Minister Jitan Ram Manjhi.
Prime Minister Dung's visit to India comes after President Mukherjee travelled to Vietnam last month and Swaraj made a three-day tour of Hanoi in August this year. This is his third trip to India as the Prime Minister of his nation. (ANI)
