JeeraJeera settled up 0.22% at 11310 after good demand in the physical market. At Jodhpur market sources reported arrivals at 250 quintals, down by 50 quintals as compared to previous day. At New Delhi market estimated market supply was at 12000 quintals, up by 2000 quintals as against previous day. At Rajkot market arrivals were reported at 621 quintals, higher by 106 quintals as against previous day. At Unjha market in Mehsana estimated market supply was at 8000 quintals, unchanged as compared to previous day's arrival. Prices had dropped in last few weeks on good rainfall and limited stockiest activity. However, the arrivals continue to drop in local markets and this trend is likely to keep buyers in the hunt. The total stocks in local mandies were almost double of the previous year's level of 35 lakh bags due to record production in the current year. However, weak supplies international market will reward Indian exporters in medium term. All eyes are on status of kharif sowing as weal monsoon may delay the Rabi sowing. As per the latest data release by Gujarat Agriculture Board, the total sowing acreage of Jeera in the state has been increased by 1.05 lakh hectares from the last year to reach 4.54 lakh hectares due to favorable weather conditions and strong export demand in local mandies. In Unjha, a key spot market in Gujarat, jeera edged down by -64.7 rupees to end at 11348.55 rupee per 100 kg. Technically market is under fresh buying as market has witnessed gain in open interest by 0.95% to settled at 7959 while prices up 25 rupee, now Jeera is getting support at 11259 and below same could see a test of 11207 level, And resistance is now likely to be seen at 11354, a move above could see prices testing 11397.
