Government offering 3,900 BTO flats in three locations

Government offering 3,900 BTO flats in three locationsThe authorities in Singapore are offering 3,900 flats that were built as part of the Build-To-Order (BTO) project for the people in the South East Asian country.

The projects are located at three locations including Batok, Punggol and Sengkang.  The flats are part of the larger plans of Housing and Development Board (HDB) to offer a total of 25,000 units this year.  The HDB announced the sale of flats that are all located in non-mature towns in the country.

The first-time buyers will be able to use various grants available to them for the BTO flats and purchase a flat at a relatively lower price.  They will be able to obtain up to S$60,000 of housing grants.

The first time buyers will get preference and about 85 per cent of the flats are reserved for them.  Out of the total 85 per cent, 30 per cent of the flats will be reserved for HDB first-time married couples with a child who is below 16 under the Parenthood Priority Scheme that was launched earlier this year.

The project includes different types of flats including studio apartments, starting S$88,000 at Compassvale, to five-room flats, which start at S$363,000 in Punggol and S$411,000 in Bukit Batok.  The Multi-Generation Priority Scheme will be available to those interested in buying flats at Compassvale Cape, Compassvale Helm and SkyPeak at Bukit Batok.
