Love, affection, marriage, and other social norms seem to be a game for Bollywood celebrities. They don’t care about anything, but, the only thing they care about is status and more and more money.

The news about split between Bollywood’s most glamorous and steadiest couple Arbaaz and Malaika Arora Khan, which hit the shelves during the last week, is actually a publicity stunt for a skin cream advertisement.

In the advertisement, they (Malaika & Arbaaz) told a Mumbai tabloid that they had separated and Arbaaz was ready to remarry but later on they accepted that the whole story was for promotion of a product.

Malaika Arora Khan said, “We said Arbaaz was remarrying.”

The story had set the rumour mills abuzz. But only a short time before the reality appeared that the divorce news was just a trick.

Arbaaz Khan said, “We’re actors and I answered what the reporter asked me.”

But those who fell for the trick were not amused.

Meenal Baghel, editor of the Mumbai Mirror said, “Such publicity stunts are not new to Bollywood. Not so long ago, cricketer Sreesanth went all out professing his love for actress Priyanka Chopra that timed perfectly with the launch of a product the two were endorsing together. But admitting to a divorce for the sake of publicity would be one step too far.”

The truth is that Arbaaz and Malaika are very much together. All is well that ends well!
