Britney Spears close to signing Las Vegas residency deal
London, Feb 6 : Britney Spears, who is set for a Las Vegas residency deal, is reportedly not signing a multi-million dollar deal with the casino.
The 31-year-old popstar has been in talks with two casinos - and sources say that she is poised to sign with Planet Hollywood in a deal that is thought to have been brokered by her former fiance and agent Jason Trawick, as he is good friends with boss Robert Earl, the Daily Mail reported.
Her longtime manager Larry Rudolph, who is also close to Earl, told Extra that a Las Vegas show is close to being announced, saying that they are in deep negotiations and he would be shocked if it didn’t happen.
A formal announcement about the deal is expected in the next few weeks.
However, a source familiar with the negotiations said that the deal would be a smaller residency rather than something like Celine Dion’s five-night-a-week contract with The Colosseum at Caesar’s Palace - for which she reportedly earns 20,000 dollars per song. (ANI)
