Suarez says would like to stay with Reds for long despite interest from Bayern Munich

Luis-SuarezLondon, Feb 1 : Liverpool striker Luis Suarez has claimed he is happy at his current club and would like to stay at the Anfield for a very long time despite interest from German giants, Bayern Munich, who would be managed by former Barcelona boss Pep Guardiola next season.

The Uruguayan''s opener against Arsenal on Wednesday night took his tally for the campaign to 22, and he is second only to Robin van Persie in the race for the Premier League''s golden boot, the Daily Mirror reports.

Suarez has just celebrated the second anniversary of his 22.8 million pound move from Ajax and insists he is happy at the Anfield club.

The forward signed a new 120,000 pound-per-week long-term deal in August and claims he intends to honour it.

Suarez said he hopes to be here at Anfield for a very long time because it''s a massive club that kids dream about playing for, adding he is very proud to be at a club like Liverpool and to have made the decision to come here.

Suarez also expressed hope to be able to help out Liverpool for as long as he possibly can while trying to do something to make the club and the fans very happy.

Suarez appreciates the steadfast support he received from Kopites during the racism saga involving Manchester United''s Patrice Evra and his subsequent ban.

The controversial striker thanked Liverpool fans for their unbending support throughout his spell so far with the club. (ANI)
