Pattinson’s bowling rhythm hampered by CA restrictions, says White

Cameron-WhiteSydney, Jan 28 : Australian cricketer Cameron White has said that Test fast bowler James Pattinson's comeback from injury has been hampered by the bowling restrictions prescribed by Cricket Australia (CA) and practicing in the nets.

According to White, Pattinson, who suffered a rib injury sustained in a Test match against South Africa in Adelaide in late 2012, needs more bowling in the middle side to get back his rhythm, News. com. au reports.

White said that Pattinson, their best bowler, can only find back his form if he goes against the restrictions set by CA, but added that CA's general manager Pat Howard would be displeased if the restrictions are flouted.

Pattinson said he wants more bowling to ready himself for the upcoming four-Test India tour and will leave for a two-week acclimatization stint before the series opener in Chennai.

Pattinson said he would rotate with fellow fast bowlers, including Jackson Bird, Mitchell Johnson and Mitchell Starc, as Australia strives to secure the Border-Gavaskar Trophy on the sub-continent.

Pattinson was sidelined for two months last summer due to foot stress fractures. (ANI)
