Kindle Fire tablet facing acceptance challenges

The much-anticipated, Kindle Fire tablet is facing severe acceptance problems in the markets, where it has been launched by the US online giant. Even as the tablet has been sold out in stores across the US, many customers are complaining about the sluggish updates and even the design of the tablet. The tablet, which was expected to be the true competitor to the Apple iPad, is criticised for various design flaws.

Analysts and customers point out that the tablet does not have the convenient external volume control. The tablet has a power switch which is often pressed mistakenly by users and the tablet is found to have no security features and an uneasy touch screen.

Some analysts are going far enough to say that tablet is going to be a market failure, even as the fact that it showed much promise at its launch. However, the tablet has also built a fan following with the onboard the Android app library. The tablet also streams movies and TV shows from Amazon's Instant Video library.

Amazon has an impressive collection of content and agreements to offer additional content besides access to Android.
