Dhanus Technologies to spend around US$ 20-30 million for acquisitions
Dhanus Technologies, one of India’s fastest growing alternative telecommunications service provider based in Chennai, will invest US$20-$30 million in acquisitions of alternative telecom companies in Europe and Canada. These strategic purchases are a part of expanding the company’s offerings in these markets.
The acquisitions will be funded entirely through internal growth accruals. Earlier, the company had announced plans to raise US$ 200 million through either external commercial borrowings (ECBs) or debt to fund its European expansion plans.
Recently, Dhanus Technologies entered into an exclusive MOU with The Kerala State Private Bus Operators Federation to launch the first of its kind initiative of installing passenger information systems in all private buses across Kerala along with its consortium partners, Sobha AppliedDSP, Chennai and Kiran Technologies, Cochin.
As per the exclusive MOU, Dhanus will provide FleeTrac™ services in over 20,000 private buses in Kerala. With this initiative, the transport owners in Kerala will be able to provide value-added services to their passengers by providing instant information on location, arrival & departure timing and proposed arrival time of the destination of every individual bus via Internet and SMS.
