DLF Plans to Examine CCI Order
According to reports, DLF Ltd recently revealed that in connection with a complaint filed by Belaire Owner's Association, they have received an order from Competition Commission of India (CCI) and after giving a thorough reading of the order, they have decide to examine all the other legal options which would be suggested by the Company's legal experts.
However the Officials further asserted that the appeal against the competition appellate order would not be limited only to the court, because they strongly believed that they had solid clues, which surely helped them to win the case.
On the other hand, another report also claimed that since April 09, after the organization was served a penalty fine of Rs 6.3 billion ($138.9 million) by the country's Competition Commission of India (CCI), DLF share index was reported with a loss of 8%.
While, sharing their views about the fall, Deutsche bank officials asserted that the DLF issue would be an overhang for the entire sector as most apartment buyer's agreements are similar.
They added, "We believe that DLF's appeal to CAT (Competition Appellate Tribunal) may be unsuccessful and while this case dwells entirely on Belaire, the fine is calculated on 7 percent of DLF's entire revenue”.
