Japanese electronics giant, Sony’s next generation of its Play Station Portable as ‘PS Vita’ and will be revealed during the E3 (Electronic Entertainment Expo) 2011 event, according to some reports circulating in the media.

The rumors began from the personal blog of Hugo Miramontes and spread to other sources. It is not known if he posted the content as a joke or he leaked something which he shouldn’t have as he removed the content and published an apology.

Some reports have confirmed the pictures bear the name on them and psvita. com has Sony as its technical contact. The leaked pictures show the PS Vita logo on the handheld.

More information will be released in Sony’s keynote during the conference on June 6.
