National Democratic Alliance CMs to meet in Capital today
New Delhi, Mar 29: All chief ministers of the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) parties will meet at Leader of the Opposition L. K. Advani's residence this morning to devise strategy ahead of the Assembly polls in several states later this year and next year's general elections.
The political fallout of the announcement of Rs 60,000 crore farm loan waiver by the UPA Government in General Budget may also come up for discussion at the meeting.
Issues like implementation of the recent legislation on rights of forest-dwellers and tribals are also expected to be discussed.
The BJP and other NDA constituents have dubbed the loan waiver package as an "eyewash", with an eye on political gains.
The NDA chief ministers will also discuss the government's other policies, like approach to terrorism, which has been under attack from the Opposition alliance.
Besides, they are expected to make a presentation of their achievements and special emphasis will be given on states like Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan and Chhattisgarh, that go to polls later this year. (ANI)
