RCom and Nokia join hands for personalized contentThe Finnish handset manufacturer- Nokia and Anil Ambani-led Reliance Communications today entered into a deal to provide personalized content to its subscribers.

The new service is named as "Ovi Life Tools" and will provide content on topics like agriculture, education and entertainment.

In the case of agriculture the farmers can seek information about crop prices, fertiliser use, weather condition, soil health and the right sowing season while entertainment section will highlight the music downloading.

As the network as a library of four million legal tracks in various forms including rock, rap, hip hop, bollywood, sufi, indipop, classical and regional songs.

Besides entertainment and agriculture, users can also get experts information on career management and jobs.

Currently the company has rolled out the services in two packages. One is the subscription-based that charges around Rs. 30-60 for various services and the other is the pay per use package that is priced at Rs. 3 per request.

This offer is also bundled with Nokia handsets wherein RCom will offer mobile data of 1.2 GB on the company's GRPS enabled handsets along with up to 1800 free on-net minutes with a validity of six months.

This step has been taken in consideration with the increasing smartphone market in India.
