Prince Harry’s a hero even in John McCain’s eyes
London, Mar 21: British royal Prince Harry’s stint in Afghanistan has been praised by US Presidential hopeful Senator John McCain.
Senator McCain, whose own son has just returned from a tour of Iraq, praised Harry and his older brother William for being “inspirations” and “role models”.
“I regret that Harry’s service was short-circuited by the unnecessary publication of his presence in Afghanistan,” The Sun quoted him, as saying.
“His willingness and his eagerness to serve provides an inspiration to other young men and women to serve the cause of freedom in Afghanistan.
“All of us Americans and British are proud of him. Americans admire the Royal Family. I respect and admire the Royal Family and I think those two young princes are very good role models.
He also urged William to follow his younger brother and serve in the war-torn Middle East region if possible.
“I would like to see Prince William serve if it is possible,” he said.
“We admire all the other citizens who have gone a long way to serve the cause of somebody else’s freedom and in facing a common enemy,” he added. (ANI)
