Two Die Of Swine Flu In Kerala
According to reports, a female and a one-year-old infant died of H1N1 influenza in Kerala while 31 more tested positive for the deadly flu in the state.
According to State H1N1 Control room, the 20-year-old Divya, hailing from Malappuram, was taken to the Kozhikode Medical College, a few days back with H1N1 symptoms such as fever and cough.
She died on Friday and her fatality because of H1N1 was confirmed.
The one-year-old boy, Arshad A, from Malappuram, was admitted to a hospital with fever and breathing problem.
The kid lost his life on July 13. He was confirmed H1N1 positive.
Of the 31 new cases, one was from Thiruvananthapuram, 11 were from Ernakulam, seven from Thrissur, five from Kozikode, three from Kannur, two from Kasargode, one each from Aleppey and Palakkad.
In the meantime, total number of patients under Hospital Quarantine in Kerala stood at was 30 and under Home Quarantine 320.
Throat samples of 54 patients were sent for laboratory examination. (With Inputs from Agencies)
